Explained to staff that mop water is considered wastewater and disposal of wastewater on the ground surface is a violation of the NYS Sanitary Code. If there is not a designated mop sink to dispose mop water, mop water may be dispose of in toilets or sinks. If sinks are used, a disinfection procedure must be in place and used immediately after disposal of dirty mop water before using the sink for other purposes. 2. All violations must be corrected and are subject to enforcement action if not addressed in a timely manner.
