| OVERVIEW\r\nC&S Materials is a wholesale distributor of pipe, valve, and fittings. Our product offering is primarily waterworks & site utilities & as such our current source for said product is via wholesale distributor James M. Cox Company, Inc. We then work with our customer base on per project basis from initial design & takeoffs to the satisfactory delivery of materials required. We work on a “Just in Time” inventory practice. We utilize and work closely with our manufacturers and their production facilities & warehouses. The majority of our manufacturers have facilities within 2-3 days ship times on all materials. As such we work with our customer in planning accordingly to facilitate their needs.\r\n\r\nThe materials used in the waterworks & site utilities industries arent products that are readily available\r\nonline. It would be almost impossible to do so. We are talking about pipe & fittings in excess of 60”\r\ndiameter at times. We pride ourselves in performing accurate takeoffs from engineering drawings and\r\nprocuring those items as efficiently possible.\r\n\r\nOUR PROCESS\r\n• We receive orders through our 8-step process:\r\n• Initial Inquiry: Meet with customer to go over their needs.\r\n• Quote: Furnish customer quote based on takeoff/conversation (sample included with this packet)\r\n• Follow up: We determine if there are any other products our customer requires.\r\n• Customer PO: Customer issues us PO for material.\r\n• Order Confirmation: Confirm receipt of PO with customer and assure accuracy.\r\n• Purchase Order: Place PO to wholesaler for material.\r\n• Delivery: Work with manufacturer on logistics of entire shipping process, (ie. source, terms, etc.).\r\n• Invoice: Invoice customer upon satisfactory delivery of materials. We have net 30 terms with our\r\ncontractor clients, but entities such as the DLA, Water Authorities, etc. dictate terms. Most\r\npayments are accepted via ACH, check or credit card. |
